Nexo West is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to expanding access to forensic mental health evaluations for low-income and underserved immigrant communities seeking humanitarian immigration relief.
Many individuals pursuing humanitarian immigration relief face financial barriers that make it difficult to obtain forensic mental health evaluations. These evaluations can provide critical documentation of the psychological impact of trauma, abuse, persecution, victimization, and other significant hardships, strengthening applications for immigration relief.
Nexo West helps remove these barriers by connecting eligible individuals with trauma-informed, culturally responsive forensic mental health evaluations, ensuring that financial circumstances do not prevent access to this essential service.
Current Initiatives
We focus on providing culturally responsive forensic mental health evaluations for individuals seeking immigration relief, while collaborating with legal and community partners to improve access for underserved populations.
As Nexo West grows, we plan to expand our educational programs, community partnerships, and resource navigation services to better support immigrants and their families.
Nexo West expands access to forensic mental health evaluations and culturally responsive education and support for low-income and underserved immigrant communities, enabling individuals to document the psychological impact of their experiences and pursue available forms of immigration relief, including extreme hardship waivers, cancellation of removal, T visas, U visas, and VAWA petitions.
We envision a future where immigrants and their families have equitable access to forensic mental health evaluations, culturally responsive education, and community resources that promote healing, stability, and opportunity.
